Resell Mass as Your Own SaaS: The SaaS Configurator, Margins and a Live-Branded App

Running Mass as your own product used to mean a lot of separate settings: plans in one place, billing in another, branding somewhere else. With release 3.11.0, reselling Mass is a guided setup. You connect Stripe, publish plans, see your margin on every client, and check that your branding is what clients actually see — all from the agency side of your account.

This post walks through what is new for agencies and white-label owners. If you want to try it yourself, you can start for free. Otherwise, read on.

TL;DR: The SaaS Configurator takes you from connecting Stripe to switching SaaS Mode on, one step at a time. Build plans from plain-language limits or start from the Mass default packages. A new agency billing dashboard shows usage and margin per sub-account, white-label sub-account usage settles against your agency wallet automatically, and your branding now applies to the live app with a real preview.

Who this is for

This update is for agency and white-label owners who resell Mass to clients, the admins who manage their sub-accounts and billing, and the sub-account owners who buy and change plans. A sub-account is an isolated workspace for one client that lives under your agency.

The SaaS Configurator: a guided setup

SaaS Mode turns your sub-accounts into paying subscribers. The SaaS Configurator is the step-by-step setup that gets you there:

  • Connect Stripe so clients pay you through your connected account.
  • Plans — the packages your clients subscribe to.
  • Add-ons — extras clients can buy on top of a plan.
  • Coupons — promo codes for your plans.
  • Rebilling — how usage beyond a plan's included credits is billed back.
  • Wallet — how sub-account usage is paid for.
  • Review — a final check where you switch SaaS Mode on.

You do not have to work through the steps in order. You can jump to any step at any time. The configurator also shows an overview of active subscriptions, overage billed month-to-date and the last rebill run.

Packages and limits, in plain language

Packages are the plans you sell. You build each one from the full list of features and limits, capped at what your own plan allows. Each package can carry monthly and annual prices, trial days, included credits, and per-channel markups for AI, SMS, email and WhatsApp.

A limit picker that reads like English

Setting a limit no longer means typing special numbers. Each limit uses a simple picker:

  • Not included
  • Limited to a number you choose
  • Unlimited
  • Same as plan, for per-sub-account overrides

Start from the Mass default packages

If you would rather not start from a blank page, begin from editable draft copies of the Free, Starter and Growth plans. Activate the ones you want to sell, adjust them to fit your offer, and restore the defaults at any time.

Coupons with prefilled checkout links

Create promo codes for your plans, then copy a checkout link with the code already applied. You can also apply or remove a coupon on a client's live subscription.

Margins and the agency billing dashboard

Agency owners now get a dedicated agency sidebar grouped into Overview, Billing & Usage, SaaS & Revenue and Resources.

The agency billing dashboard has a left-hand menu for usage, wallet and payments, and controls. Its By Sub-Account view shows, for each client:

  • their usage
  • your cost
  • the amount rebilled
  • your margin

That makes it simple to see which sub-accounts earn you the most and where to look more closely.

Wallet funding and settlement

When a white-label sub-account uses the platform, the charge now settles against your agency wallet automatically:

  • Two prices per charge. Your agency wallet is charged at the platform price, and the sub-account is charged at your price — or your agency absorbs the cost.
  • Margin on every charge. Your margin is recorded each time.
  • A funding switch. The "Fund sub-accounts from agency wallet" switch in Agency Settings - Billing controls whether sub-account usage is paid from the agency wallet. Platform admins decide whether agencies can change it.
  • Messaging in credits. Email, SMS and voice usage is turned into credits every 15 minutes, with fractions carried over, so a single email is not rounded up to a full credit.
  • Empty-wallet protection. SMS, WhatsApp, voice calls and email sends pause when the paying wallet cannot cover the messaging owed.

Sub-account drill-down and plan changes

Open any sub-account to see exactly what that client has and spends:

  • its effective features and limits, after its plan and any overrides
  • switches to turn individual features on or off
  • a 30-day credit spend chart with recent transactions

Per-sub-account overrides can be bulk-applied across several clients at once. You can also change a client's plan from Agency - Accounts: upgrades apply now, downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period, and you can resume a pending cancellation.

A billing page for your clients

Your clients get their own billing page. They can see their wallet balance, upgrade or downgrade on their own, and open the billing portal for invoices, cards and cancellation.

Plan limits are enforced

Sub-accounts only see the menu items their package includes, and plan features and limits are checked when they create items. A past-due sub-account is limited to its billing page after a 7-day grace period. A canceled sub-account is limited to its billing page right away.

A live-branded app

White-label branding now shows up in the app your clients use, not only on public pages.

  • Applied across the app. The logo, colors, fonts and custom CSS you save in the White-Label Configurator appear throughout the live app.
  • Inherited by sub-accounts. Clients who have no branding of their own use your agency brand.
  • Live App preview. The configurator's Live App tab shows your real dashboard with your unsaved changes, so you can check a new color, logo, font or custom CSS before you save.
  • Branded sign-in. The sign-in page on your domain uses your logo, headline and background.

The full details are in the white-label guide.

Reseller terms

Agency owners and admins now see a banner on the agency dashboard prompting them to read and accept the current reseller addendum. When the addendum is updated, the banner returns so you can accept the latest version.
