AI Onboarding Builders and Studios: Start From a Builder, Not a Blank Box

A blank chat box is a hard place to start. You know what you sell, but turning that into the right prompt for a funnel, a sales system or a video takes effort before anything useful appears. The latest release of AI onboarding in Mass changes the first screen: instead of an empty box, you start from a catalog of ready-made builders.

This post walks through what is new for people launching their first funnel, and for the admins and agencies who run onboarding for others. If you want to try it now, you can start for free. Otherwise, read on.

TL;DR: AI onboarding now starts from a programmable catalog of builders. Pick a builder, fill in a chip prompt, add context from a link, and launch. Advanced mode lets you review the plan before anything is generated. Signed-out visitors run real builds on sponsored guest accounts, and admins and agencies design each builder in a full-page studio.

Builders bar and mode cards

The start screen now has a Builders bar and mode cards. Each one loads a ready-made prompt with editable chips, so you fill in the details for your business instead of writing a prompt from scratch.

  • Builders bar - choose any builder from the Builders menu.
  • Mode cards - start from the Funnel, Full Sales System or Video cards.
  • Editable chips - each prompt has chips you fill in before you launch.
  • Composer tools - Upload, Attach and Image sit in the composer footer, and Optimize prompt rewrites your message before you send it.

The Document card

The Document card writes a document blueprint first - document type, topic, audience and tone - then follows a document checklist that leads to a funnel. Use it to start with a lead magnet or an ebook and build the funnel around it.

Add context from a link

Your own content is often the best starting point. The Add context studio accepts a link or a brief and turns it into angles for your build.

  1. Paste a link or a brief. Use the Add context studio, or paste a supported link straight into a builder prompt.
  2. Review the profile card. Mass detects the source - Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, podcasts, websites or plain text - and shows a profile card.
  3. Pick an angle. Mass offers 2 to 3 angles. Picking one fills the chips and rewrites the prompt, with one Undo for both.

Pasting a supported link into a builder prompt starts Add context without opening the dialog. If you only wanted the text, Keep as text puts the link back. Admins choose which builders and sources offer Add context.

Advanced mode: review the plan first

Some builds deserve a closer look before they start. Every builder's composer has an Advanced mode switch. Turn it on to review and edit a pre-build checklist before the build starts, so you control what gets built.

A clearer path after the first result

Once the first draft is built, a streamlined launch checklist takes you the rest of the way.

  • Fewer default steps to get from draft to launch.
  • One Set Up Checkout step, with or without an order bump.
  • Upsell pages for paid funnels.
  • Editable step prompts, and admin checklist settings per workspace.
  • Plan-aware steps - steps outside your plan show as locked with an upgrade prompt.

On phones, onboarding is chat-first, with a floating View result button to see what has been built. You can finish your launch from your phone.

Real builds for signed-out visitors

Onboarding can now work as a lead generator. Visitors without an account build real funnels and resources on sponsored guest accounts, within the visitor limit their agency sets.

  • Conversion modal - after a first result, visitors are offered a free account or free trial.
  • Draft claim - the visitor's draft moves into their new account after sign-up, so the work is not lost.
  • Next-step card - signed-out visitors see what comes next, with locked checklist steps that open sign-up and an optional Book a call button.

The idea is simple: let people see a real first page before you ask them to sign up, then give them a clear reason to continue.

For admins and agencies: the builder catalog and studio

If you run onboarding for clients or for your own brand, you now control which builders appear and how each one works.

A programmable builder catalog

Platform admins and agencies can add, hide, reorder and publish builder cards and Start from an example items, including onboarding videos on each card. You also decide what signed-out visitors can do before they sign up.

The full-page builder studio

Create or edit a builder in a full-screen studio with:

  • Live previews of each step.
  • Page previews and checklist previews.
  • A pre-build editor.

When a builder is ready, publish it to your onboarding.

Conversion Journey Studio

In the Conversion Journey Studio, admins can map each builder's visitor journey with AI review and journey analytics. Combined with guest builds and the next-step card, this gives agencies and white-label owners branded onboarding designed to convert visitors. For more on running Mass for clients, see the agency docs.

Who this is for

  • New users launching their first funnel, who want a starting point instead of a blank box.
  • Agencies and white-label owners who want branded onboarding that converts visitors.
  • Teams who want more control over what gets built, using Advanced mode and editable checklists.

Full details for every part of this release are in the AI Onboarding docs.
