Document Builder: long-form writing, section by section
The Document Builder writes long documents — grant proposals and any other long-form writing — one section or chapter at a time, using the model you pick and the context you give it. This guide covers models, domain-aware writing, the Context Library and the Prompt Library.

What the Document Builder is
A structured editor where AI drafts each section and chapter of a document.
Documents are built from sections and chapters. Add one, give it a prompt, and AI writes it; new sections and chapters are selected as soon as you add them, so you can start writing right away.
Your documents are saved to your account and only you can open them.
Choose the model
Pick which AI model writes your document from the model picker.
The model picker includes recent Claude models such as Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Sonnet 4.6.
Domain-aware writing
The writing style matches the kind of document you're creating.
- Grants and proposals — written with grant framing.
- Everything else — written by a neutral writer, so grant language never appears in free writing.
Ground the writing in your context
Give AI your own material so it writes about your business, not a generic one.
- 1
Open the Context picker
Choose items from your Context Library to include when AI writes. If the library fails to load, the picker shows the error and a Retry button.
- 2
Add context inline
Use Add context to paste text or upload a .txt or .md file straight into the Context Library without leaving the builder.
Start from the Prompt Library
Pick a ready-made prompt instead of writing one from scratch.
When you add a Section or Chapter, browse the Prompt Library and select a prompt in one click.
